Matt is co-founder and CEO of the SHEFA Innovation Foundry, an energy platform developing AI solutions for North American energy companies tapping Israeli technology.

Matt retired from Ovintiv, formerly Encana Oil and Gas, in 2024 as Vice President of Government Relations. His team was responsible for U.S. policy initiatives and governmental relationships ). Previously, Matt led Encana Natural Gas, Inc., providing compressed and liquefied natural gas fueling solutions to a variety of industries.

Matt joined Encana in 2010 from Edison Mission Energy where he held roles in energy trading and environmental policy. He also served as Chairperson of the Environmental Markets Association for three years and as Director for five years. Prior to Edison Mission Energy, Matt held key roles at the AirBank (brokerage) and Waste Management, Inc. (commodity management).

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree from Clark University in Environmental Science and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College.
